We are delighted to announce Korrey Kooistra as the new Director of HB Threads!
Korrey most recently served as the Interim Director of our social enterprise. Prior to that, she held the role of Director of Process Optimization and Transformation. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing social justice and public health.
Before joining HB Threads, Korrey was the Executive Director of the Ascension Housing and Health Alliance, where she led initiatives to provide housing and support for individuals experiencing homelessness, living with HIV, managing substance use disorders, or navigating mental health challenges. She holds a degree in psychology and women’s studies, as well as a master’s degree in community health sciences with a focus on maternal and child health.
Korrey’s focus has always centered on uplifting others and creating access and opportunities for all. By continuing to foster the growth of our talented HB Threads associates and advancing the success of our social enterprise through new partnerships, she will contribute to expanding employment opportunities for individuals of all abilities and talents. She said:
