This past December, Easterseals’ Senior Leadership Team took a festive “Rockin’ Road Trip” across our program sites—bringing joy, gratitude, and custom lunch bags created by our talented team at HB Threads.

Dressed as Santa, elves, a gingerbread woman, and even a snowman, the leadership team delivered small gifts to students at all three Easterseals Academy campuses. But the highlight? Thoughtfully crafted lunch bags, made by our neurodivergent associates at HB Threads, gifted to every student across our sites.

These custom lunch bags weren’t just functional—they represented the hard work and dedication of individuals with disabilities who are gaining job skills and confidence through HB Threads’ inclusive employment model. Each bag was sewn, printed, and packaged with care by team members who take pride in what they create.

In the days leading up to the holiday tour, the HB Threads workshop was buzzing with energy. Associates worked in teams to:

Measure and sew fabric panels
Apply heat-pressed designs
Package over 650 custom lunch bags for delivery

This project was not only a celebration of the season—it was a chance for HB Threads employees to see their work shared, valued, and used by the very community they help support.
